From the original “Crossroads, questions and the contemplation of life and the world we live in are the foundations of this work. The concepts and representations incorporated here are suggestions prompted by my journey to becoming a Christian.
It was not my intent for the composition to try to make sense of a single element or concept; instead, I felt the initial compulsion to create a piece that displayed the confusion of the world around us as opposed to the simplicity and perfection of the cross.
I also sought to include and represent the cross’s unique and specific dimensions as there is a historical context embedded therein.
Lastly, this work is meant to represent the challenge and calling of Christ to step out of the ‘world’ of what is seen, often driven by misleading media and potential false conclusions thereof, for us to instead focus on His truth.”
